I don’t own a tart tin so this rough-around-the edges tart required some improvisation. Lemons are in season here in South Africa so I decided (under advisement of my granny) to try make my own lemon curd for the first time. I am now firmly addicted to it. I used some Cape Gooseberries for a pop of yellow alongside all the other beaming berries which are all in season too. We had a BIG slice of this with a pot of Rooibos, watching the sun set over Lion’s Head. It was a great way to usher in the weekend.

I immediately recognised Lion's Head in the background,...How do I miss thee, fairest Cape Town, Mother City and Home! Love the rustic look. Go Christine, SA women always succeeded and made a plan, nothing impossible to us! Best of luck, I hope you win! Nadea
This looks gorgeous, especially with Lion's Head in the background. Miss my home, the Mother City so much! Good luck with your entry Christine!
