I stayed faithful to the original recipe for Ghoul- Graveyard Cake by baking the cake according to Nigella’s ingredients and instructions. I did however, take some aesthetic liberties with the cake by creating a black Jack-O-Lantern, a non-traditional color for this Halloween ornament. Instead of using black sprinkles that the recipe called for, I used orange sprinkles to create the facial features for the jack-o-lantern that are accented in white icing to make them stand out. And there you have it: Jack-O-Lantern Halloween cake.
