Love Buns from Feast by @nigellalawson. The first time I made these was exactly 12 years ago. It was 3am and I couldn’t sleep as I was so nervous. We had our appointment at the fertility clinic at 9am for the final step of our long & stressful journey to become parents. The nurses were thrilled with the love buns, and the embryo transfer was a success, I finally had my very own love bun in the oven! I’ve made them every year since on Valentines Day and today my daughter helped me bake and decorate these. I didn’t have time to make the meringue frosting this year so made a quick lime icing instead.
