Inspired by Nigella's Chocolate Guinness Cake, a rich dark cake topped with cream cheese icing, I made this in celebration of St. Patrick Day here In Canada! I added extra stout that brings the color as dark as the night, the texture is so soft, super moist because I added 1/2 cup of apple sauce, so rich in taste. I am glad I bake 2 cakes because the 1st one did not last, the taste test is followed by another slice, so enticing. I decorated with a clover leaf filled with green colored cream cheese icing and slowly let it drip around the edges, then filled the rest with white cream cheese icing. This cake is now part of our tradition, see you at our table next year. How could you resist this mouthwatering heavenly cake, everyone at the table is having fun, they say that "Laughter is brightest where food is best."
