A warm kitchen and patience is key. I used only sultanas as the kids don’t like mixed fruit. Pop them together quite snug in a baking tray, this ensures the buns rise up and not out. When fresh from the oven, I just glaze with apricot jam. Delicious hot or cold. Have made these gluten free too, just using same recipe and substituting GF flour with an added teaspoon of xanthan gum.
