It was my birthday this month, just a few days after Nigella's birthday, and as a personal tradition I make my own birthday cake. I went ahead a tweaked the recipe a little. Instead of adding sugar flowers, I added fresh strawberries and chocolate candy. Also, I am so glad that I tried this recipe because the icing was a hit among my family. The cake was moist and delicious. Nigella is an inspiring lady and I yearn to be like her. I wish her happiness and sunshine.
