Hello from New York! I added 1 tablespoon of instant espresso granules, 1 teaspoon of almond extract and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the cake batter. To the frosting, I added 1 teaspoon (yes teaspoon this time) of the instant espresso granules and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract. I did not add cinnamon to the frosting as I did not want it to have too much of a spice cake flavor. I garnished the top with chopped/toasted pecans and caramel filled chocolate candies. Oh my goodness it was so delicious! Being a true chocoholic, I had a slice for my dinner! Cheers!!!
