I baked this cake for my daughter’s first birthday and turned it into a hedgehog with chocolate buttons! My mum made one for my second birthday many years ago and my sister made one for her son’s birthday more recently so it’s become a bit of a family tradition. I love this recipe and it worked really well, the cake held up and the icing was perfect.
