I made these for the first (but certainly not the last) time - my 6-year-old daughter helped me and was actually much better than me at assembling them without breaking these delicious but fragile hearts! I think it really paid off to keep looking for proper vegetable shortening instead of replacing it with butter, both texture and taste-wise.
