We Icelanders are closely related to Norwegians and therefore this recipe was really tempting. My variation from the written instructions were that I warmed the milk to body temperature before adding the eggs and the melted butter. I also used brown sugar for the filling. As this was for the afternoon I added some cream cheese frosting. During this strange times, when big part of the world is more or less confined to their homes, it is important to create comforting food and enjoy with your loved ones. And this one was absolute joy with everybody I even offered "take away" for my close family, so the love was shared! This will from now on be firm staple in my "cookbook" Helga - Reykjavik - Iceland
