Pastry making went well. However I live in southern Australia and fresh blackberries are not available at the moment. I therefore substituted fresh blueberries and a few strawberries. The resulting taste was great. The fresh strawberries leaked a bit but the pastry absorbed most of it. I dont use creme fraiche usually and thought it would flow around the pie more evenly. Next time I would do smaller dollops or spread the creme fraiche over the pastry before the fruit went on. I added a little icing sugar on the top before serving. Over all a very good dessert with little effort. My taste testers gave me 10 out of 10.
