I decided to make this for my hubby’s birthday, but as we have a 10 month old I didn’t start the process until 8pm the night before. Turns out my haphazard style of baking, a noisy hand mixer and a sleeping baby is not a great combination and I was wiping peanut butter buttercream off my walls at 11pm! The icing is probably nowhere near as smooth as it should be, but it tasted absolutely delicious and my husband was bowled over by it.
