For my son's 9th birthday this year it had to be Nigella's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake or as my lad now calls it 'The cake of dreams'. For a lockdown birthday party at home this went down a treat and will definitely be one to remember. Although this beauty serves an army we (two adults and two children) managed to scoff the lot with ease. So beware of its addictive powers. I used four thin cake tins in order to indulge in more beautiful buttercream. Finished with plenty of nuts and a sparkly Happy Birthday cake topper. The buttercream....oh the buttercream... Let's just say everyone was fighting over licking the bowl. Perfection.
