Each Tuesday afternoon, we - an international group of scientists at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge working on cheaper lighting and solar cells - gather for our cake & coffee break. What started off as an excuse to escape from work has since turned into a baking showdown with the most marvelous and exotic creations you wouldn't think physicists could come up with. This time, I decided to follow Nigella's recipe for this silky and velvety white chocolate cheesecake: Decorated with just edible flowers and pomegranate, it was the perfect treat for a hot summer day, accompanied by some nice Brazilian flash brew shown in the background.
