This is no ordinary chocolate cake; this malteser cake is rich and utterly delicious! Dark maltesers help add a little bitter note and I thought were perfect to top the cake with. I used of mix of dark and milk crushed maltesers to put between the layers and sprinkle on top for an extra little crunch. Being from Tasmania, Australia, it was going to be hard to find horlicks, but I was able to find a malted milk powder that worked perfectly. The malt adds a great depth if flavour, one that reminds me of childhood and going to the movies, maltesers are a must for movies! And this cake is a must for any malteser lover!
