It might not be snowing here in Australia, but we sure are feeling the Christmas Spirit and what better an occasion than to whip up some Nigella magic. As soon as I'd finished the batter, I knew this would be a delightful cake. I've never made Ermine Buttercream before but with its light and fluffy texture, I'm sure today was the first of many. With the rustic look and fresh red flowers I decorated my vanilla cake with, it's the perfect dessert for a Christmas down under.
