Yeah, if retro had a taste, it would be that cake and I'm a sucker for that. I never made an ermine icing before and honestly I was pretty surprised on how well the roux was incorporated in the butter mixture. Electric beater would help loads, I did everything by hand oh boy it hurt but the effort was worth it!
