I made mine extra special by first, adding the well-loved Filipino ube (purple yam) flavor to the batter hence the buns now are purple and have an added nutty flavor. Secondly, the baked buns were filled with locally produced pumpkin jam from one of the towns here in Slovenia. Instead of just spooning the topping, I used a piping bag to apply the icing. It was a sweet and yummy Valentine's day!
