In the absence of a loose base tart tin, don't make the rookie mistake I made using a silicone tart dish for this! I spent longer trying to "press into the (ever-moving, flexible) sides and bottom" than I did making and assembling the rest of this easy recipe... Although, who knew how useful a wooden cocktail muddler could be when trying to achieve a compact, tidy crust?! Needless to say, once completed, it was an attractive and delicious creation that, once served, elicited all the right noises from the in-laws who came to stay this weekend.
