Nigella’s Vanilla Layer cake: This time at My Table. The very book has been the first in my collection and the Vanilla cake with Ermine icing one of the first recipes I have ever made from it. The book has since become the holy grail of my home cooking. There was no way I was going to skip the opportunity to cook along. I like the simplicity of the recipe, and how it always turns out perfectly. The only addition I might make sometimes are the sprinkles on top. The cake itself is delicate, sumptuous and exquisite enough to satisfy even the most difficult taste pallets. Thank you Nigella for your continuous source of inspiration for my cooking.
