If the name of the title alone doesn't make you want this book, then I don't know what's wrong with you. Justin Gellatly is the man who has made people queue up for doughnuts of weep-inducing wonderfulness for years at the great St John, and this book is as good for slavering over as it is to cook from. I could have chosen the signature doughnut recipe for you here, but it is perhaps a daunting place to start, so I've picked instead another trad favourite, the Iced London Buns, the Cornish variant of which are known as Sticky Willies. One last thing, how's this for a great cover quote: "With Justin the force is strong and the crumb is good" (Fergus Henderson)?
