This is a beautiful book, with recipes that balance the relaxed with the inventive. Above all, they have the authentic sense of coming out of a real home kitchen. I have littered my book with post-it notes, and choosing which recipe to highlight for you was not an easy task. But since the Balsamic Onion Soda Bread is the first recipe I plan to try, it seemed only right to choose that one.
