For me, lemons are as essential as salt in a kitchen, and I have often thought I would enjoy writing a book of lemony recipes. Yasemen Kaner-White has beaten me to it, and although it is not a comprehensive volume, it is a beautifully presented book, full of enticing recipes, savoury and sweet and headspinningly global! I've selected the Celebration Cake from Latvia for you, since I love a yeasted cake, and this one just begs to be made for Christmas.
