I didn't grow up with Halloween being a big thing, but my children have and so over the years we have built up our own gory-and-gross traditions as you can see in my Halloween Recipes section.
On reflection, I do realise that adults might want something else to get them through a long, spooky and sugar-fuelled evening, and so I feel it is only right to give you my tips on the perfect Bloody Mary: chill vodka and tomato juice, but do not add ice; spritz with dry sherry (my special ingredient here — just a drop or two a glass) and spice as usual with Tabasco, Lea&Perrins and celery salt; stir to mix with a celery stick and get your freak on!
