I made this recently for my mother and her husband. Neither have very adventurous palates, so I felt this was exotic enough to keep things entertaining, yet straight-forward enough not to alienate anyone. Served it with a nice red wine from Crete. They loved it and insisted we eat the leftovers the next day.
