Just got back into cooking something new again after getting stuck in a dinner time rut trying in vain to please at least some of the people at least some of the time. Tonight I made this. I'd just bought this book. It took quite a while due to the steps & stages but what a joy it was. Especually after I'd measured out the white wine ; ) I made a roux & a sauce for the first time in how long I don't remember. It was a joy to create & my fussy husband & girls (12 & 18) only went & ate it all up with little complaint! It was a stronger cheese flavour than then they're used to and delicious served with a peppery salad. Grown up food again! I feel a change coming on. Can't wait to try something new on my next day off. Thank you Nigella, I knew you'd be the one to turn to in a time of crisis!
