Sift together the baking powder and cocoa powder. Beat together the egg whites and caster sugar to a meringue, and then fold in the dry ingredients. When incorporated, finally fold in the melted butter and vanilla essence. Pour intoa spring-bottomed cake tin which is lined with oven paper and bake for about 35 minutes at 170'C. When cold, place on a wire rack and cover with the prepared ganache. Leave to set before placing on a board or plate.
