One Pot Chicken and Potatoes, Turkish Style

Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees. First of all , drizzle a bit of olive oil in the bottom of a large casserole dish/roasting tray. Spread the chicken and potatoes the dish, don't worry if you need to squeeze the potatoes in they will still cook. Put the onions all over the chicken and potatoes , sprinkle the cinnamon over and season with S and P, pour the chopped tomatoes all over to cover. Fill the empty cans of tomatoes with water and pour over the whole thing, cover with foil then put in oven for 1.5-2hours or until the chicken and potatoes are cooked. Serve with the sauce over with a green salad with lemon and olive oil.
Introduction
This is a family fave, its so easy and tastes wonderful, its made in its own sauce and is great served with a green salad with olive oil and lemon dressing in the summer or rice and vegetables in the winter!! Its made in one dish so saves on washing up too! You dont need to worry too much about quantities but below is a rough guide

Serves: 2-4
- 2 chicken pieces (boned, legs and thighs - leave the skin on, it tastes better)
- 2 large potatoes (per person - peeled and cut as if you were going to roast them)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3 large onions (sliced, not too finely)
- 2 tins chopped tomatoes (large tins)
- olive oil
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
