Chop the chocolate into small pieces and put in a bowl.
in another bowl put the flour and the baking powder, mix them together.
in a mixing bowl beat the egg, then add the vanilla essence and mix up.
Add to the egg and the vanilla essence, the melted butter (be carefull! it musn't be too hot) and mix together.
Then add first the demerara sugar and mix up, then add the granulated sugar and mix up again.
Add, alternating, the chocolate and the flour, untill you get the dough.
Put on a baking tray the greaseproof paper, and make some rough small balls with the dough.
Put them in the preheated oven at 190° for about 10 min.
When removed them from the oven, leave them to cool on the baking tray. After 10 minutes put them on a plate.
