Bife a Portugesa (Portuguese Steak)

Over medium heat, melt the butter in a 12 inch skillet. Fry the steaks turning them over after 2 minutes or so. Don't overcook at this point. They'll finish cooking later. Add mushrooms and cream to steaks and cook for 5 minutes. Add brandy and pepper and simmer over low heat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve with chips(French fries) and salad. Enjoy!!

- 4 tenderloin steak (cut half and inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ⅘ pint heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 salt (to taste)
