Metric Cups
  • 1 litre milk
  • 450 grams caster sugar
  • 1 handful almonds (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons butter / ghee
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 drops rose essence
  • 1 kilogram carrots (grated)
  • 1 handful cashew nuts (chopped)
  • 1 handful raisins (chopped)
  • 1¾ pints milk
  • 16 ounces superfine sugar
  • 1 handful almonds (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons butter / ghee
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 drops rose essence
  • 2⅕ pounds carrots (grated)
  • 1 handful cashew nuts (chopped)
  • 1 handful raisins (chopped)

  • Heat milk in a wok add carrots ,cook til soft and the milk thickens
  • Now add sugar and keep on steering Add ghee, nuts,raisins and cardamom Cook til all the milk dries up and the ghee starts separating. Serve hot !!!
