Metric Cups
  • 1 litre milk
  • 450 grams caster sugar
  • ⅓ handful almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter / ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom (powder)
  • 2 drops rose essence
  • 1 kilogram carrots (grated)
  • ⅓ handful raisins
  • ⅓ handful cashew nuts
  • 1¾ pints milk
  • 16 ounces superfine sugar
  • ⅓ handful almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter / ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom (powder)
  • 2 drops rose essence
  • 2⅕ pounds carrots (grated)
  • ⅓ handful raisins
  • ⅓ handful cashew nuts

  • heat milk in a wok add carrots ,cook till soft and the milk thickens
  • now add sugar and keep on steering
  • add ghee, nuts,raisins and cardamom
  • cook till all the milk dries up and the ghee starts separating.
  • serve hot !!!
