Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove, but make sure it melts slowly, so it doesn't burn. In the meantime, sift (separately) the cocoa powder and the flour. Whisk the cocoa powder in the melted butter, until smooth. Gradually add sugar and stir well. Add eggs, one at a time and whisk until smooth. Add vanilla and stir. After that, slowly add the flour, and, when it's all incorporated, add the cherries to the batter. Turn on the oven at 180ºC and let it heat up a bit before putting the brownie batter in, and then bake for about 30-35 min, or until done.
