Pre Heat the oven to 180'C, 350'F or Gas Mark 4. Cream the Butter & Sugar and add the Vanilla essence. Add the Eggs, then the dry ingredients. Mix well & pour the thick glossy mixture into a greased tin/tins. Bake for approximately 25-30 mins until the top has cracked. Cut into slabs while they are still warm and leave to cool on a rack.
Introduction
Extremely simple Brownie recipe, yes I admit not the healthiest! but in my house they are all gone within an afternoon of making them! Also this recipe makes a vast number so you can always half the amounts.

- 12 ounces all-purpose flour
- 6 ounces unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 pound butter (or margarine)
- 2 pounds sugar
- 4 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 8 eggs
