Using Nigella's Christmas Chutney in the dressing will make this salad yummy whatever you put into it.

Ingredients

Metric Cups

For the Salad

  • 1 smoked chicken breast
  • 150 grams mixed salad leaves
  • 1 clementine

For the Dressing

  • 1 tablespoon christmas chutney (See Nigella Christmas)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)

For the Salad

  • 1 smoked chicken breast
  • 5⅓ ounces mixed salad leaves
  • 1 clementine

For the Dressing

  • 1 tablespoon christmas chutney (See Nigella Christmas)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)

Method

  • Put the (washed) salad leaves in a nice looking wide bowl or plate.
  • Cut the smoked chicken in small strips, you could also tear it into chunks.
  • Let the strips fall casually on the leaves in the bowl.
  • Peel the clementine, put the wedges here and there in between the chicken strips.
  • Mix the ingredients for the dressing, and sprinkle over the salad, leaving red blots on and in between the chicken and clementine.
