Let the gelatin soften it the cold water. Add the sugar and the boiling water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the gelatine and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the essence and colouring. Pour into a tray (don't grease the tray) and let it set either in the fridge or at room temperature. Cut into squares and roll it in the confectioners' sugar.

- 3 tablespoons gelatine
- ⅓ cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 14 ounces sugar
- 4 tablespoons orange-flower water
- food colouring
- 4 ounces confectioners' sugar

This is not turkish delight at all. Its pink toffee. Absolute nonsense. Wrong on an epic level. We followed every step perfectly. Ridiculous. Such a shame. You can’t even eat it its so hard and sticky. Awful awful recipe.
