Introduction

Handy to make when you need something warm and filling.

Ingredients

Serves: 8-10

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ pint milk
  • oil (for frying pan)

Method

  • Add the egg and half the milk and whisk till smooth. Whisk in the rest of the milk.
  • Heat the oil in the pan. Pour in small circles of batter.
  • Cook till the bubbles are rising to the top, then turn to cook on other side.
