Heat sugar and milk in a large saucepan on a low flame until the sugar has dissolved Turn the heat up slightly and heat until it becomes very thick- this will take about 10 min Take off of the heat and still in the coconut Pour half into a small baking tray Add a few drops of red food colouring to the other half until pink and pour on top of the white mix. Leave to cool then cut into bite size pieces
Introduction
Yes it has a ot of sugar, but you only need a little bit to fill the sweet craving and remind you of childhood.

- 1 pound superfine sugar
- 5 ounces unsweetened shredded coconut
- ¼ pint whole milk
- red food colouring
