Melt the Butter and golden syrup or light corn syrup together in the microwave. Then add all other ingredients and stir together well. Press mixture into a pyrex dish or baking tin and bake for about 1/2 an hour on 180 C. Leave for 10 minutes and then cut into squares while still warm.
Introduction
This is a very simple slice recipe which my mother has been making for afternoon teas ever since I can remember! She got the recipe from my Godmother - Cheryl, hence it is known as 'Cheryl's Slice' in our household. It's ridiculously quick and easy and keeps well.
