- 6 slices white bread (thick sliced)
- 4 medium eggs
- 250 millilitres milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 250 millilitres cornflakes (crushed)
- sugar
- maple syrup

Method
French Toast Sticks is a community recipe submitted by Krakra58 and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.
- Cut each slice into thirds.Place in an ungreased 13 in x 9 in x 2 in dish. In a large bowl, wisk the eggs, milk,sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread slices, soak for 2 min. turning once.
- Coat slices on each side with crushed cornflakes. Place into a greased 15 in x 10 in x 1 in baking tin. Freeze until firm plm. 45 min.
- To bake: place desired number of frozen sticks on a greased bakingsheet. Bake at 425 F for 8 min. Turn the slices and bake another 10-12 min. or until golden brown. Sprinkle sugar if desired and with Maple syrup.
