Introduction

Little cupcakes that taste like brownies! From a Nestle ad in Donna Hay magazine.

Ingredients

Serves: 12

  • 7 ounces chopped butter
  • 7 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

Method

  • Preheat oven to 150C. Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until combined. Allow to cool.
  • Place chocolate, eggs, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and stir with a wooden spoon.
  • Sift in the flour, baking powder, unsweetened cocoa and a pinch of salt and stir.
  • Pour into patty cases and bake for 45 mins, checking with a skewer.

    Makes 12 (I doubled it and got a nice amount).
