Heat the orange juice in small saucepan. Add the zest and chopped dates. Leave to stand, off the heat, for 15 minutes. Mix water and milk and blitz with orange and date mix. Mix together flour, almonds, salt, sugar and yeast in a mixing bowl. Beat in date/juice/milk/water mixture to form a batter. Pour into a 900 g / 2 lb greased loaf tin. Leave to rise, uncovered for 30 mins. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 7 / Electric 220oC / Fan 200oC Bake for around 30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean from the centre.
