Ingredients

Serves: 8

Metric Cups
  • 250 grams butter (salted, molten)
  • 90 grams cocoa powder
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 230 grams caster sugar
  • 150 grams dark chocolate (finely chopped)
  • peanuts (roasted, or walnuts or almonds - optional)
  • 9 ounces butter (salted, molten)
  • 3 ounces unsweetened cocoa
  • 4 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 ounces superfine sugar
  • 5 ounces bittersweet chocolate (finely chopped)
  • peanuts (roasted, or walnuts or almonds - optional)

Method

  • Firstly mix in the butter, cocoa and the sugar and make a batter
  • Crack in the eggs 1 by 1, mix alongside
  • Add the flour and baking powder
  • Mix well to form the batter
  • Add chocolate and stir using a spatula
  • Add nuts of your choice
  • Preheat the oven to 165C
  • Put the batter in a 10'by 10' and 3' deep tray lined with butterpaper
  • Bake for nearly 40-45 mins depending on the size of tray
  • Prick and check after 20 mins of baking
  • Take out the brownie only after its completely cooled
