Ingredients

Metric Cups
  • 120 grams butter
  • 125 millilitres white sugar
  • 125 millilitres brown sugar
  • 2½ millilitres vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 435 millilitres self-raising flour
  • 3 millilitres salt
  • 125 grams chocolate chips
  • 60 grams walnuts (chopped)
  • 4¼ ounces butter
  • 4 fluid ounces granulated sugar
  • 4 fluid ounces brown sugar
  • fluid ounce vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 15 fluid ounces self-rising flour
  • fluid ounce salt
  • 4⅖ ounces chocolate chips
  • 2⅛ ounces walnuts (chopped)

Method

  • Cream the butter, sugars and vanilla essence together.
  • Gradually add the lightly beaten egg, then mix in the sifted flour and salt.
  • Add choc chips and walnut pieces. Mix together well.
  • Shape into balls of dough and place on lightly greased tray. Allow space for spreading.
  • Bake in pre-heated oven (180) for 10-12 minutes
