  • 1 kilogram potatoes
  • 200 grams cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 200 millilitres vegetable oil
  • 2⅕ pounds potatoes
  • 7 ounces cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 7 fluid ounces vegetable oil

Method

  • Boil the peeled potatoes for 25-30mins, drain and mash them, while they are hot, add the cheese, flour eggs and seasoning, mix well and knead to make a consistent paste.
  • Take a walnut sized piece and roll them into finger shapes, arrange them on a tray sprinkled with flour.
  • Heat the oil in the frying pan and cook until golden brown, remove them onto kitchen paper to absorb any excess fat

    • Sorry but this recipe was a big fail for me. After following everything I was left with an unworkable gloop of eggy, cheesy potato that ended up in the bin.
