Place trifle fingers in bottom of trifle dish and fill in holes by breaking pieces to fit Scatter drained mandarin segments over the fingers Make quick gel according to packet instructions, using mandarin syrup in the liquid content Pour quickgel over the mandarin segments Leave to cool When cool add the custard layer over the top Whip the cream and add on top of the custard Add flaked almonds as they are or toast first Chill trifle

- 1 packet strawberry jelly
- 1 tin tinned mandarins (drained - keep syrup for jelly)
- 2 tins custard
- 1 tub double cream (large)
- flaked almonds
- savoiardi cookies (enough to line bottom of trifle dish)
