Ingredients

Serves: 4.

Metric Cups
  • 3 pears
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (large sheets, shop bought pastry works well)
  • 4 teaspoons ground almonds
  • almonds (chopped - to sprinkle on top)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 3 pears

Method

  • Set the oven to 180 degrees
  • Thaw pastry after having separated the sheets.
  • Slice the pears thinly and, melt the butter.
  • Put pastry sheets on baking trays, and sprinkle with ground almond, leaving a 2cm border. Place sliced pear on top and brush with the melted butter.
  • Sprinkle chopped almonds on top, and you're ready to put it in the oven. It takes roughly 20 minutes to cook, but keep checking, the second it's golden brown it's ready to go.
