Can I Cook The Ritzy Chicken Nuggets In An Air Fryer?

Nigella's Ritzy Chicken Nuggets (from FEAST) are strips of chicken that are marinated in buttermilk, coated in cracker crumbs and shallow fried until golden and cooked all of the way through.

You can cook chicken nuggets in an air fryer, however the results are never exactly the same as if the nuggets are fried. We would suggest preheating the air fryer to 200c (400F). Put the nuggets into the basket and if possible give them a light spray of cooking oil. Handle the nuggets carefully so that you don't knock off too much of the crumb coating when you put them into the air fryer basket. Chicken nuggets usually take 10-15 minutes to cook (depending on size) and should be turned half way through the cooking time. Check that they are cooked all of the way through before serving, and allow extra cooking time if necessary. For nuggets cooked from frozen the cooking time is usually 5-10 minutes longer and again check that they are fully cooked through before serving.
