Our answer

Nigella's Pumpkin And Goat's Cheese Lasagne (from NIGELLA CHRISTMAS) is an easy dish that can be prepared in advance and so is particularly useful for seasonal entertaining. The "cheese sauce" is an easy stir-together version and the goat's cheese adds a slight tang to the ricotta, which can be a bit bland on its own. You should not be able particularly to taste the goat's cheese in the finished lasagne.

However, if there is a problem with the goat's cheese then you may be able to use a combination of mascarpone and Parmesan (roughly 300g mascarpone and 150g grated Parmesan) and season the cheese sauce well with salt, pepper and nutmeg to boost the flavour. It will be more of a Pumpkin and Ricotta Cheese Lasagne in this instance. But please note that as we have not tried the lasagne in this form, we are unable to guarantee the results.
