Hi Team! I watched Nigella make a very simple pasta dish and it looked great and I am keen to make it. She roasted a chicken then tore the flesh off and used the cooking juices with some added ingredients to toss with cooked pasta. Where can I get the recipe? Many thanks. Norm
Our answer
We suspect the recipe you are looking for is Tagliatelle with Chicken From the Venetian Ghetto which appears in NIgella's book How To Eat on p402. The recipe involves roasting a small chicken then using the juices from the roasting pan to make a sauce, with added sultanas or raisins, pine nuts and rosemary. The sauce is tossed with cooked tagliatelle and the torn up flesh of the roasted chicken (and leave the skin on!). The US version of the recipe can be found via the link below.
If you are going to roast a chicken for this dish then it may make sense to roast a second bird alongside and use this for some other recipes during the week. We would particularly suggest trying Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad, Chinatown Chicken Salad, Quick Chick Caesar or Thai Chicken Noodle Soup which can be found on pages 226-232 of Kitchen.
